VPH-i to Elect New Board

ELECTIONS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES: THE CALL FOR CANDIDATES IS NOW OPEN

In September 2015, the mandate of the current members of the Board of Trustees will expire and the General Assembly will elect a new Board.

Board of Trustees is composed by the President, and the two Financial Auditors, whose role is to supervise the operations of the Board of Directors, ensuring that such operations do not get into conflict with the interests of the membership at large and does not violate the common law, the legal provisions and the provisions in the articles of association. Here the current BoT composition:http://www.vph-institute.org/board-of-trustees.html

The mandate of the Board of Trustees is two years and it can be renewed for one additional term, for a total of four years. Further information on the duties of the BoT can be found in our statute, in particular art 5.3, 5.4, 5.6: http://www.vph-institute.org/download/vphinst_statute_v7c.pdf

The election process officially opens today and will take place in 3 steps:

From today until August 3rd – Call for nomination:

Every delegate representing a member of the VPH Institute (in good standing) will have the possibility to present a candidate for the election. To respond to the call, you will need to send to the VPHi Manager (manager@vph-institute.org) the following information:

  • Your name and the name of the VPH member you represent (the latter only for institutional membership)
  • Name of the candidate (you can only appoint a candidate from your organisation)
  • Position you wish to send the candidature for: either President or Financial Auditor
  • Short CV (200 words)
  • Photo

From Aug 5th to Sept 5th – Election held by electronic ballot:

Each delegate representing a member of the Institute will receive the electronic ballot and will be given the possibility to vote. Each member will hold one vote.

Sept 16th – Official announcement

The General Assembly will officially announce the results on the elections, and the BoT will take charge.
